PATSSLOK ®

PIPE CONNECTION SYSTEM FOR STEEL PIPES USING MECHANICAL FITTING WITHOUT ON-SITE WELDING.

PSS provides services of steel pipe connection by means of mechanical fitting.
Mechanical fitting in the connection of steel pipes is the result of plastic and elastic deformations, which create extremely significant radial strains. These strains can exceed the resistance to pressure of the structure of the pipe and of a traditional welding technique.

The connection system consists in the insertion of two steel pipes. One of the ends is first expanded or flared (the BOX) and the other end (the PIN) is prepared for insertion into the BOX.

This technology is widely used around the world, especially for upstream and midstream OIL & GAS.

This pipe joint has greater resistance and tightness than that of traditional welding, with the following advantages and savings:

bullet

No welding on site

bullet

No X-Ray inspection on site

bullet

Fewer workers involved

bullet

Versatility and flexibility of the operation

bullet

Safer and more ecologically-friendly operation

bullet

No need for fire, flames or heat in environmentally sensitive areas.

bullet

Minimum speed of installation 650m/day

bullet

For pipes with diameters of between 2 3/8” and 12‘’

bullet

Up to X60 Grade Steel

bullet

For wall thickness of up to SCH 160
