Patagonia Shale Services has fulfilled with its first purchase order from YPF. The work done during the period conform between November 2014 and February 2015, consisted of the implementation of the thermal coating for the 40,000 meters of lineal steel 3,5’’ tubing and total provision of the field joints kit, which will be use by YPF in the exploding oil field located in Loma Campana, Neuquén.
Currently, PSS counts with a continuous line of thermal coasting unique in Latin America, able to process tubes from 2 to 8 inches in diameter. The same line is capable of triplicate the production capacity of any other similar provider in the region. The PSS plant located in Nueva Galia it’s in constant process of expansion, growing with each new order, which it compromises to satisfy, fulfilling the highest quality levels.
The tube coating that PSS makes consist in the application of polyurethane and polyethylene layers according to the international normative EN 253. Said layers contribute to maintain the non conventional oil (Shale Oil) temperature in its translate stage, preventing the use of additional chemicals or additional contaminating substances to achieve the same result. This way, PSS contributes to the care and preservation of the environment, through its important role in the oil industry.
